Hi all, Anne here.
So today I wanted to talk about in terms of whether or not you should script your videos or not. While a lot of people recommend having a script worked out, I prefer not. And the reason being is, if you’re reading a script, you can come across rather robotic. Because you are there focusing so much on what is written, and not putting in the emotion that you need to convey your message properly. So my videos are always done very much ad lib. I have the topic and that’s about it.
If you are the kind of person who needs a bit of a reminder about what you are talking about, a good idea is to have a couple of dot points written down somewhere in front of you that you can see, that’s just behind the camera. And that way, it gives you that trigger, the reminder of what your topic is about but it doesn’t mean you’re reading constantly. So you still have that emotion, that passion that you’re conveying.
